Through the "Effect Creator Rewards" program, users can market the filters or effects they create using augmented reality principles. TikTok will pay the filter designer $700 if their filter is used in 500,000 videos. While the 500k video rule may seem daunting at first, considering the platform's global usage, it becomes evident that it is achievable.

Once a filter crosses the 500,000 video limit, the designer will receive an additional $140 for every 100,000 videos. Roughly estimated, it would cost $1,400 for an effects designer to have their filter used in 1 million videos. The program's current budget is 6 million dollars, meaning it will be depleted with the usage of approximately 4,300 filters in one million videos. TikTok has not yet announced whether a new budget will be allocated once the current one is exhausted.

TikTok has also introduced a rule stating that even if users shoot thousands of videos with the same effect in a day, the platform will consider it as one video. In other words, if you capture 500,000 videos with the effect you created from your fake account, they will be counted as one video by the platform. Currently, this feature is available in the US, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK, and it is unknown when the program will be extended to other countries.
